Rules for Touring Pitch

We do not like lots of rules, but ask that visitors are considerate to their neighbours and other visitors. This is especially important at night, as sound does travel very easily in the countryside, and by 11.00 pm the Park should be quiet. Please respect other peoples’ pitches, and do not cut across them or let your children play around other units which do not belong to you or their friends. After all, you do not play/walk across your neighbours’ gardens at home (we presume!)

The Park is for private touring caravans, motorhomes and tents for holiday use only, and these must be of an approved design. The maximum length of stay is 14 nights. We do not allow any groups, or under 18’s unless accompanied by adults. No commercial vehicles, generators or caravans used for long term accommodation are allowed on the Park.

Booking is advisable at all times, either by phone or email and a deposit will be required of the first nights stay to secure your booking. if you are going to arrive later than 6 pm, please call us during the day to let us know so that we can ensure details of your pitch are left for your arrival. No Arrivals after 9 pm unless by prior arrangement (arranged before 6pm on day of arrival) to ensure the comfort of all guests staying on site.

Bookings can be cancelled with a full refund up to 30 days prior to arrival on site. Thereafter a cancellation fee of your first nights stay will be payable to the site. If you provide between 7 and 30 days notice of a cancellation then your deposit can be transferred to an alternative booking within 12 months, subject to price differences for new dates. This can only be done once for each cancellation. (i.e you can only reschedule your dates once)

Pitches are available from 12 noon on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 12 noon on the day of departure. Late departure will be subject to availability of your pitch/accomodation.

We have some hard-standings available and caravans should be parked so as awnings can be on the hard standing too – metal pegs would be useful. If you are on grass, we would appreciate if you lift groundsheets during the day, if possible.

Camping units and tents now come in all shapes and sizes. Please ensure that you book a suitable pitch for your camping unit. In particular large tents (6/8 man or tee-pee type tents etc) may take up more than our standard tent pitches so if in doubt please enquire before making a booking and we can advise and book you on a suitable pitch. We will not accept responsibility for booking the wrong kind of pitch and you may not be able to stay if you don’t. If you cannot stay as a result of the booked pitch being too small your deposit will be non refundable.

Dogs are most welcome, but should be kept on a lead in the Park and should not be left in accommodation unattended at any time. This is in line with advice provided by the RSPCA that can be found here. They should be exercised off site in the dog walking area at the far end of the Park, where there is a lovely walk for all to enjoy. We would appreciate if you would clean up any accidents on site, and these should be double-bagged before putting them in our bins. No dogs are allowed in the toilet block or children’s play area.

Children are welcome and we hope they enjoy using our play area which is suitable for children from aged 5 and upwards (swings suitable for younger children under strict parental supervision). Parents should note that the park will not accept responsibility for accidents resulting in misuse of the park facilities or lack of supervision of children of any age. The ramp on the amenity building is for wheel chair users only and no bicycles, roller blades, or skateboards should be used on it.

Our toilet block is kept to a very high standard, and your help in keeping it this way is much appreciated. We ask you to remind your children to leave it as they would like to find it.
